What I have been up to!

It has been awhile since I post any thing. I was away for the month of  March. Went to the Phoenix bear show and got together with great bear artist.  I got to meet Janice Woodard, Martha BurchTyler Crain-Davis, Marge Weiss, Sharon Barron, Robert Forman and of course the show promoter Valerie Rodgers. I am now the proud owner of one of Janice's bears and Robert"s bears. Plus I also got a couple of Joann's bears.
Here is something I made for Joanne for being so knid and helping me in so many ways. It's a needle felted mouse pincushion.

Spent an after noon with Joanne Livingston working on bears and meeting her family. Joanne also took the time show us around Phoenix.

Got to spend an after noon talking about bears with Kathy Myers.
Here is Kathy and myself holding the panda bear that I received from Kathy.

 These ladies are just wonderful.
Then we headed up to Albera to visit with my daughter and her family. It was an awesome trip.

Now here is what I have been working on.
This a vintage style steam punk bear!
I still have some leather to add to the dress. She already sold.
Now that is better!

Next.......

Open closed eye lids on this polar bear. Still have some finishing touches to do. Joanne showed me how to make the claws and use lock line. This is my first try at open close eye lids.

It was so nice to have you come and visit here in Phoenix. I love my pincushion. It sits in a place of honor in my workroom so I can see it everyday.

I have never had the pleasure of making bears with another bear maker, that was a great day.

I love the new bears, both of them. The styles are both so different, and each so well done.
